About Me
Hi! I'm Alexandra Finch, the owner and lead designer here at Finch Florals. My path to flowers was a winding one, but this lifelong artist finally found her favorite medium-flowers! With over 6 years of experience in the event floral industry, it's my absolute pleasure to design thoughtful, sustainable florals for your celebrations. I also grow & maintain a large cutting flower garden at Cornman Farms where I specialize in growing dahlias and other luxury blooms for use in your events.

About the Flower Garden
at Cornman Farms
The truth is, I never set out to be a flower farmer. I learned floral design first but have always had a passion for the outdoors and gardening. After growing my very first dahlia and seeing just one bloom before frost, I was hooked. The following season I bought more dahlias than my yard could handle. Serendipitously, the opportunity to grow at Cornman Farms presented itself and changed everything!
Now, just 4 growing seasons later, I've more than doubled the original garden area and have taken up dahlia hybridizing. My goal is to one day have my own line of dahlias specifically geared toward use in event work. By specializing in one flower, I've been able to accumulate more knowledge and expertise. After all this time, dahlias are still my favorite flower and never stop surprising me!

About our Dahlia Varieties
The Finch Florals hybridizing program is just getting started! We are absolutely thrilled to announce our very first variety, "Finch's Cornman" is being released by Triple Wren Farms through their Novice Hybridizer Program throughout both the US and Canada in spring of 2026.
Finch's Cornman
This stunning flower unlocked what I know will be a lifelong passion of dahlia hybridizing. It's color is complex with perfect smoky mauve tones that change slightly throughout the season, a tone that truly looks good with everything- a designer's dream! An early bloomer with deep green foliage and dark stems, Finch's Cornman is always one of most eager to sprout each spring and takes temperature swings and drought in stride.
In our hyrbridizing we like to focus on excellent cut flower traits, we need our blooms to stand up to the rigor and fast pace of event work. Traits like strong yet skinny stems, strong bloom attachment, great bloom angle as well as long vase life and overall plant vigor and floriferousness helps Finch's Cornman get from field to arrangement to event in flawless condition.
